  • Are TalksOnlaw California MCLE Podcast courses accredited for MCLE in California? Yes. TalksOnLaw is a Multiple Activity Provider of MCLE in California (#17280). All of TalksOnlaw California MCLE Podcast courses are presumptively approved in California.

  • How many of my credit hours can be fulfilled through TalksOnLaw California MCLE Podcast?  Once you are a California MCLE Podcast Member, you may fulfill all required 25 credit hours, including the special categories. At least 12.5 credit hours is required to be participatory credit. • What’s the difference between participatory and self-study MCLE? For a participatory activity, a provider verifies your activity in the class. For example, you sign in at the time of the activity, either in person or online; the provider keeps the list and issues a certificate afterward. A self-study credit may include online assessment tests, where you choose when and where to take it. The test is then graded, and you are issued a certificate. Online courses and some CD and taped courses can count for participatory credit if they are verified by an approved provider. TalksOnLaw is an approved provider in California.

  • How do I get credit for a course I completed?  To obtain MCLE credit from TalksOnLaw, you will need to be a California MCLE Podcast member (see above or click here to join). During each course, a numeric code will be read. Members obtain their MCLE certificates by providing these confirmation codes for the courses they have completed. While listening to the course, note down the confirmation number.  After the course, you can provide the codes to obtain credit.

  • How do I submit my confirmation codes?  You can submit your codes only after joining TalksOnLaw as a Podcast Member.  To obtain certification, log into your podcast membership at www.talksonlaw.com.  You can then enter your podcast codes by clicking on the podcast tab in the title menu or by visiting www.talksonlaw.com/podcast.  There, you can enter the codes in the the "conform completion" fields for each interview. Please note that the date you enter the code is the date that will be printed on the certificate.

  • Does TalksOnLaw report to the State Bar each time I attend a participatory MCLE activity? No. Neither members nor providers report attendance at an approved activity to the State Bar of California. Members are responsible for keeping track of their own education. Attorneys must keep the certificates of attendance that providers distribute when attending a participatory education activity. TalksOnLaw keeps a record for four years of members' attendance at participatory activities.
